FAQ

  • What skill level do I need to join a workshop?

All workshops are open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced photographers. What matters most is an interest in photography and a desire to learn. We tailor the coaching to your experience level so you can grow at your own pace throughout the trip.

  • How many participants are in each group?

Workshops are kept small to ensure personal guidance.  Workshops range from 5–12 participants depending on the destination. To ensure personal guidance, there are never more than 6 participants per instructor.

  • What type of camera gear should I bring?

A camera (DSLR or mirrorless), a tripod, and a wide-angle lens are essential. A telephoto lens, ND filters, extra batteries, and memory cards are highly recommended. Each workshop page lists specific suggestions.

  • Do I need a laptop for editing?

You don’t need one, but bringing a laptop or tablet with Lightroom or Photoshop can be helpful. It lets you apply what you learn during the workshop and get feedback on your edits while we’re on location.

  • Are flights, meals, or accommodation included?

Flights and meals are not included. Accommodation can be booked through us for all workshops, and for itineraries with multiple hotel stays, we handle the bookings for the group. Full details are provided on each workshop page.

  • Can you recommend accommodation?

For workshops based in one location, we provide recommended hotels and you can book through us. For workshops that cover multiple destinations, we select the hotels and handle the bookings for the group. These bookings are invoiced separately.

  • Do you include transportation during the workshop?

Transportation varies by workshop. Local transport within a city, such as in Paris, is not included. For workshops that travel between destinations, like the Dolomites, transport is included. Details for each workshop are listed on the workshop page.

  • How physically demanding are the workshops?

Most workshops require light to moderate walking, sometimes on uneven ground or short hikes. If a workshop involves more physical activity, this is clearly noted on the workshop page.

  • Is travel insurance required?

Yes. All participants must have personal travel insurance that covers medical needs, accidents, and equipment. This is standard for international photo travel.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable unless the workshop is cancelled by the organiser. Final payments follow the terms listed for each workshop. Full details are provided during booking.

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather is part of landscape photography. We always adapt, find alternative locations, or shift schedules to make the most of the conditions.

  • Can I join alone?

Absolutely. Many participants travel solo. Workshops are friendly and social, and you’ll be part of a small group with shared interests.

  • Do I need a drone?

No. Drones are optional and only allowed where legal and safe. Bring one only if you’re comfortable flying in mountain or coastal environments.

  • Can you help with travel planning?

Yes. After booking, you’ll receive guidance on airports, transport, what to pack, and practical tips for your destination.

  • Do you offer private or custom workshops?

Yes. Private one-to-one sessions and custom photo tours are available on request.

  • Can I bring a plus one?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring someone along. They’ll need to cover their own accommodation and, when applicable, transport during the workshop. Please let us know when you book if you plan to bring a plus one so we can arrange the necessary space and logistics.

  • What clothing should I bring?

Clothing needs vary by destination and season. Each workshop page includes specific recommendations, and you’ll receive a detailed packing list before the workshop starts. In general, plan for layered clothing, comfortable footwear, and weather-appropriate outerwear suitable for outdoor shooting.

  • Do you offer help with packing or gear preparation?

Yes. Before the workshop, you’ll receive a detailed gear and packing guide. You’re always welcome to ask questions if you’re unsure about equipment or clothing.

  • What happens if I need to arrive late or leave early?

You can still join, but please let us know as soon as possible so we can coordinate meeting points and logistics. Missed sessions cannot be refunded.

  • Will there be downtime during the workshop?

Yes. Most workshops include breaks during the day to rest, recharge gear, review images, or explore on your own. Exact schedules depend on the destination and weather.

  • Are non-photographers allowed to join the shooting sessions?

Yes, as long as they’re comfortable joining the group during early mornings, late evenings, or outdoor locations. They’ll follow the same transport arrangements as the group.

  • What if I need special dietary accommodations?

Most destinations can accommodate common dietary needs. Please tell us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

  • Will I get feedback on my photos?

Yes. You’ll receive personal guidance during the workshop and two online follow-up sessions afterward where you can get feedback on your images and editing.

  • How do payments work?

Workshops require a non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due before the workshop begins. Payment details are listed on each workshop page.
