Venice Photography Workshop

November 6 – 11, 2026 (6 Days / 5 Nights)

RESERVE YOUR SPOT

Venice in November has a mood like nowhere else: soft mist over the canals, empty morning streets, reflective pavements after light rain, and a calmness that simply doesn’t exist in the high season. The crowds are gone, the atmosphere is intimate, and the city reveals a quieter, more authentic side. This workshop lets you experience and photograph Venice at its most atmospheric — with golden low-angle light, rich autumn colours, and plenty of space to work.

Over six immersive days, we’ll blend Venice’s iconic scenes with real street photography opportunities. Expect sunrise and sunset shoots at landmarks such as Piazza San Marco, Rialto Bridge, and San Giorgio Maggiore, balanced with explorations of quieter sestieri where daily life unfolds — the backstreets of Cannaregio, the artisan workshops of Dorsoduro, and the hidden courtyards locals pass through every day.

You’ll learn how to refine compositions in narrow, complex spaces, work creatively with coastal light and reflections, and anticipate subtle, authentic street moments that give Venice its soul.

After the workshop, we’ll reconnect online for two dedicated post-processing sessions, helping you polish your best images and build a strong, cohesive set of photographs from your time in Venice.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AT THE WORKSHOP

  • Building strong, intentional cityscape compositions

  • Developing timing and confidence in street photography

  • Working with morning, evening, and available light

  • Approaching scenes with a clear visual strategy

  • Capturing both iconic Venice landmarks and quieter, unexpected moments

  • Creating a cohesive set of images with guidance from two instructors

  • Using long exposures for evening and blue-hour shots

Ambitions & Goals

This workshop is about your growth and your images. Many photo tours emphasize being at the right location at the right time — but then the instructors often focus on taking their own shots. Our philosophy is different. We’re there to guide you personally, whether that means:

  • fine-tuning your composition on the spot,

  • helping you master camera settings in tricky light, or

  • offering constructive feedback as you work.

With a small-group format (maximum six participants per instructor), you’ll receive close personal attention and one-to-one coaching every day. The aim is for every participant to return home with portfolio-worthy photographs and new confidence in their skills.

Equally important is the community: the workshop is a shared learning and inspiration experience. You’ll not only improve your photography, but also enjoy the camaraderie of shooting and dining together in one of the world’s most photogenic cities

Tickets: $ 2,500 per person

  • Start: 6 November at 3:00 PM

  • End: 11 November at 12:00 PM

  • Six days and five nights of on-location training

  • Two instructors working closely with the group each day

  • Maximum 12 participants for a personal, hands-on experience

  • Balanced focus on cityscape and street photography

  • Structured daily plan with sunrise, sunset, and street sessions

  • Two follow-up online sessions to refine your images

  • Access to a private WhatsApp group months in advance for travel tips, gear advice, and sharing work

  • $300 deposit is paid at registration

  • The remaining balance will be invoiced about one month before the workshop begins.

Accommodation:

  • We’ll be staying at Al Theatro Palace, a stylish and comfortable hotel just steps from Piazza San Marco. Its central location makes it the perfect base for photographers — most of our sunrise, sunset, and street photography spots are only a short walk away.

From the hotel, you can easily reach highlights such as San Marco, Rialto Bridge, the gondola docks, Accademia Bridge, and the quieter backstreets of Castello and Cannaregio. Staying here puts you right in the heart of Venice, allowing us to move quickly and make the most of changing light throughout the day.

It’s an ideal starting point for exploring Venice with your camera.

  • Accommodation can be pre-booked with us for $2,300 for the full workshop stay or you can book it directly with the hotel.

Early reservation is recommended since the group is intentionally limited.
